Hrd version 5.2412/29/2022 There is a box at the top of the window, when setting profile details, that says something about making Profile 1 the default for contest entries. If I go edit options for Profile 1 and change "80/20 fan dipole" to, say, "fan dipole 80/20," then the Antenna line of all the offending entries updates immediately - I go open the contact entry I was just working on, and the radio is whatever I said it was (even if it was different from Profile 1 - that is, if i selected Profile 2, 3, 4, or 5 for that entry - the Radio/Rig line stays set as whatever I entered), but the Antenna line shows whatever is set for Profile 1. It is only the Antenna line that reverts to "80/20 fan dipole." What is especially curious is that it does not matter which profile I select in the Edit window - the corresponding radio stays there, as I expect. If I open the same contact entry, though, after I did all that, I see that the ANTENNA box shows the wrong selection. Then I click Apply or Save or whatever the button is labeled. When I click the profile number, the corresponding info is filled in for that contact entry - I can see it right away in the edit dialogue. When I import ADIF files from N1MM, I have to open each entry and do 2 things: click QRZ to get grid square, name, and city and choose the profile number (1, 2, 3, 4, or 5) that corresponds to the appropriate rig/antenna combo I used for that contact (this info did not transfer from N1MM). I think I have made 5 profiles in HRD, one for each transceiver/antenna pair I used to make contacts with someone in the log. The above list allows a few rig/antenna combinations. Most recently, I finally got 20 back up by fanning the 80m dipole. Then I cannibalized the 20m dipole for its feed line and raised an 80m dipole - right before landing a sweet deal (free) on 2 ICOM 751A transceivers. In September or October, I put a 20m dipole up. I started out, in the summer of last year, using an ICOM 746 with Cushcraft R7 vertical. In addition to adding paper logs by hand, I have also imported ADIF files from N1MM from the recent ARRL DX SSB contest and from the 2013 California QSO Party. This is just the kind of issue I was afraid of.why I was hesitant to go put all my eggs (or ADIFs) in one basket. I have been adding to my logbook from old paper logs, but am experiencing a frustrating issue.
